纪念朱志尧
　　
　　各位长辈，各位亲友，大家好：
　　今天世界各地亲友聚集一堂，共同纪念朱志尧，我的曾祖父创建求上海求新造船厂100周年。一百年前，曾祖朱志尧怀着创办实业，救国救民的伟大理想，创办了中国最早的机器造船厂，成为中国民族机器工业的先驱。
　　一百年来，沧海桑田，中国人民饱经了许多次战争和动乱的苦难，终于迎来了中华人民的伟大时代。上海求新造船厂饱经风霜，从朱家独资，同法商合资，被日本战领当局强购，国民政府接管，最终成为人民海军的重要基地。
　　1937年，抗战爆发以后，中国人民在日寇铁蹄之下饱受煎熬。作为一个慈善家，曾祖朱志尧投入了大量的精力和财力，为救济难民和苦难同胞作了很多工作。为此，罗马教皇曾赐予朱志尧“圣西尔物斯德赉骑尉勋位”。
　　一百年来，“求新”两个字仍然在不断地散发着光辉。 这是一种精神，鼓舞我们 不断地求新，创业，鼓舞我们有所发现，有所发明，有所创造，有所进步。
　　我们缅怀曾祖朱志尧的伟大业绩，就要有他那种爱主，爱国，爱民，求新，创业的精神。
　　我们告慰曾祖朱志尧在天之灵，在“求新”精神的感照下，一个码头工人成为一个高级工程师，社会的有用人才。
　　我们告慰曾祖朱志尧在天之灵，在“求新”精神的感照下，我们来到了澳大利亚，开拓新大陆，开创新生活，并把这一精神带到了新大陆。
　　我们告慰曾祖朱志尧在天之灵，我们继承了“求新”精神这一宝贵遗产，并让这一精神世代相传。

　　Dear father, aunts and uncles,
　　sisters, brothers and cousins
　　Relatives and friends:
　　Five score years ago, Nicholas Zhu, My great grant father in his shadow we are standing created the Qiuxin Shipyard Shanghai, the first machinery shipyard in China with his ambition of developing industry and saving China and Chinese people, becoming pioneer of Chinese national machinery industry.
　　Today, we, all descendants of Nicholas Zhu in the World, stand together to commemorate Nicholas Zhu.
　　Great changes have taken place for over 100 years. Chinese people experienced many time wars and turmoil and won finally a great peaceful Chinese peoples era. Qiuxin Shipyard Shanghai experienced a lot of changes. The Ownership transferred from Zhu family, Zhu family Joint venture with a French Bank, robbed by Japanese Conqueror, accepted by Nationality Government. Qiuxin Shipyard Shanghai now is one of the important bases of the People Navy.
　　1937, Resistant Japanese war brought out, Chinese people were under boots of Japanese Troop and experienced pain and lived in abyss of suffering, as a philanthropist, Nicholas Zhu spent a lot of his energy, time and money to relieve war refugees. He was awarded the Knight by the Pope of Vatican
　　The words "Qiuxin" means "Seek New" in Chinese and has shined for over 100 years. Qiuxin is a consciousness, which encourages us to seek new and create new, discovering, innovating, creating and progressing.
　　To recall the achievement, we should have consciousness for loving God, loving people and loving China, "Qiuxin" and creating.
　　It is consolable to the soul of Nicholas Zhu on the Sky that under encourage of the "Qiuxin" consciousness, a stevedore, has become a senior engineer, a useful person in society.
　　It is consolable to the soul of Nicholas Zhu on the Sky that under encourage of the "Qiuxin" consciousness, we come Australia, a new continent to develop our new life, continue "Qiuxin" consciousness.
　　It is consolable to the soul of Nicholas Zhu on the Sky that we have got "Qiuxin" consciousness, a precious heritage from you and we are going to continue it from generations to generations
